It could all be so simple,
I say,
I wish I knew how
To answer all of your questions
without even a doubt.
It could all be so simple,
Place all your trust in me.
Remember the burdens,
The burdens within me?
The ones I rarely speak of?
The puzzle pieces you seek,
I’d give them to you in a heartbeat.
This sought simplicity evades me,
Terrifies me,
Roots itself as boredom to me.
Because it does not last.
The complexity of the personality I carry cannot warrant this
My thoughts are too heavy for the lightness of your being.
