Silk

Slip into the senses (short poem series)

Corner to corner

Dissolve with me this silky night

Shine through me

Shine through you

Be seen, not heard

Like birds, like leaves & flowers

Tend dearly to trust

Breath freely with lust

For a crisp autumn due chills the bone

And in its beauty we see, as into us with warmth, not cold

Here we melt within this skin

And with friction

We sing.

“Slip into the senses” a collection of poems by Daniel Hyam.

I occasionally write poems that don’t initially begin with meaning or a story in mind. Just a collection of words or senses that slowly evolve and find an identity.

These poems may grow into songs, or not...

I feel like they should be here though. I’d like people to experience my poetry and even watch as a poem morphs into a finished song on my next record.

Thanks for reading - Hyam
