loneliness left its mark

The blackness of night Brings little light,
only from the moon And not very bright,
U hear a sound, not sure from where,
U look around, There's no one there,
Alone in your house, You cannot sleep,
The noise is louder now, Your eyes begin to weep,
You call out a name, Hoping it's someone u know,
Your heart beats fast, The blood starts to flow,
There's no answer back, You're scared and can't yell,
It's almost upon you, You turned, tripped, and fell,
With one last try, U get up and run,
Turn to look back, In the corner of your eye u see someone,
A shadow, a reflection, a silhouette in the dark
There was never anyone there, Just u and your imagination,
loneliness left its mark
