Silenced Voice

Cry of a Suppressed Soul

By Sarah SegrawskiPublished about a year ago 1 min read

The voice once strong, now silenced by fear,

Trapped within, unable to shed a tear.

Emotions suppressed, buried deep inside,

Hurt and pain, impossible to hide.

The heart screams out, but no sound is heard,

Trapped and suffocated, like a caged bird.

Trembling hands, aching to be free,

But the weight of silence is all they can see.

The mind races, searching for a way out,

But the walls are high, and the darkness devout.

Aching for expression, for release,

But the fear of judgment, never to cease.

Silenced voice, suppressed emotions,

A burden carried, like heavy potions.

Yearning for freedom, for the light to shine,

But the chains of silence, are hard to unwind.

The world around, seems so unaware,

Of the pain within, the silent despair.

Invisible wounds, that never heal,

A life of silence, that none can feel.

But hope remains, a flicker in the dark,

A voice that whispers, a small spark.

A glimmer of courage, to break the silence,

To release the emotions, to end the violence.

Silenced voice, suppressed emotions,

May you find your way to the oceans,

Where the waves of freedom, can wash away,

The pain and hurt, and bring a new day.
