She weeps for the nation that killed her children.
She weeps for those who were lost trying to change right from wrong.
To change from old to the new.
She weeps for the brutality, the injustice.
She weeps for the hardships, the unchanging ones, the changing ones.
She weeps for she has lost more than she has gained.
She weeps for her nation, for her children.
But she knows that though fear persists, it is not the end but the beginning. From the ashes, from the blood, her children will raise and claim what is theirs, they will claim what is rightfully hers.
She will become what she is supposed to be.
