She Is The River

Poem

From your banks I would admire your waters, the radiance of this stream...

From the ripples I heard your voice, invite me, it told me "come and swim.."

So I lay back, let you take me in, your current, your flowing song...

But as you caressed me, slowly carrying me through your course.

You transformed into a river, rapids and white caps..

This rush overwhelmed me, took me by surprise.

Pulled me under, I lost my breath, but I still felt right at home...

No desire to surface, within your flood I belong, I open my arms, bare my soul..

I roll over your falls.
