INT. ROOM - NIGHT

A soft piano melody plays in the background.

*"Friendship Before Love" by Cellophane Roses plays*

CU on aged hands playing a lonely piano. A vase of dried petals sit nearby on a desk. The lighting dreary and dark, but a flicker of a candlelight strays beyond, highlighting the silhouette of our PIANIST.

CU : picture frame with photo of a young happy couple.

A young soldier with his beloved wrapped in his arms.

The lighting has become more of a dream like setting, the roses alive and in full bloom. The fragile hands have regained their youth, and the young woman from the photo is the pianist.

Leaning on the doorway of the room, the SOLDIER, mid to late 20s, adoring his lover quietly from afar, his eyes full of love.

The WOMAN, early 20s, blonde, is too engaged in her music, does not give attention to the soldier nearby. A smile comes across her face as his hand touches her shoulder.

His hand fades away, and her hair has returned to gray. The smile lingers on her face, her dimples mixed with her wrinkled smirk.

Her young hands have aged once again, but the dreamy scenery hasn't changed. The young couple begin to dance together, as the elder pianist continues to play the melody. *slow dance*

The song has finished, and the couple have faded away, along with the dreamy setting.

SILENCE.

It embraces the room, as she sits by her piano. She looks up to see the soldier, uniform and all, with a smile on his face. He walks over and kisses her on the top of her head. She closes her eyes, a tear slowly escapes her eye, still with a smile on her face. He fades away as looks up to him. She glances to the picture frame, and gives it a gentle kiss, and caresses it.

FADE TO BLACK.
