seaing eye

poems from the coast

I’ve gone to the sea, my love

though I’m only inches away

I can feel the sand beneath me

as I watch the waters sway

I’ve not meant to leave you behind

I just had to find some peace

the waves have washed away my sins

and helped my aching pains to cease

my eyes begged to behold the endless sky

my senses longed for the ocean mist

so I’m now wandering a nameless beach

as the sun and the sea have kissed

I’ll return nearly as soon as you’ve noticed

my gaze has seemed a bit lost

with a softer glow upon my face

priceless, this elopement, without cost
