Saviors of Thanksgiving
Flavor fills the soul

Autumn's almost over,
no thanksgiving for me
swallow your saliva
ignore the ads on your PC.
I want to eat a burger
why am I googling recipes?
sweet cinnamon tea
seaweed rice soup
You made everything okay, kamsahamnida (Thank you)
I know this cup of suffering
will eventually pass and fade
but I won't forget your comfort
for the rest of my days
It's the little things that matter
we don't have to have a lot
yet we feel unfulfilled
more often than not.
A little bit of flavor
is what saves the soul,
the taste of love,
the scent of a rose
This important lesson
I'll remember it well
and in the future
bust it out for show and tell,
spice gives life.
