A dream can be like a balloon,
Full of vapour and bulging with potential,
But any dream has weaknesses,
And is more prone to being easily popped.
Some dreams emerge gradually,
Swelling and glistening with surprises,
Driving ambitions and inspiring choices,
But are too quick to shrivel up and fade.
Other dreams are close to nightmares,
They are filled with suspense and unanswered questions,
Quivering on the edge of darkness,
Suggestive and misleading.
The sweetest dreams are those which linger,
Keep bouncing back regularly,
Do not inflate with unrealistic ideas,
These are perfect dreams which last forever.
Rather than fade or burst, such dreams stay,
They flourish and glow when we are proud,
Keeping low when we are sad,
But they always return and satisfy.
