Rise and Fall, Craig David, featuring Sting

The ebb and flow of words and notes

Are pleasing to the ear.

Especially when rhythm forms

And patterns become clear.

🎵

When accents fall just as they should

Like waves upon the shore,

It feels just like a long-lost friend,

Come knocking at the door.

🎵

Yet patterns may be broken

And new thoughts may be spoken

It just may be a token

Of sounds which were awoken.

🎵

And then the rise and fall returns

And all is well anew.

You find the peaceful rhythmic flow

Before the piece is through.

🎵

The ebb and flow of words and notes

Are pleasing to the ear.

It makes you want to sing aloud

For everyone to hear.
