Repeat...

A Poem About Love and Relationships By Ken Cruz

I wasn't trying to make it about me or you..

Just wanted it to be about us, for once.

Mutual lack of trust has always got us in ruts.

Trying to compromise but your unwillingness led to our demise.

So much going on its impossible to summarize.

Just wish we could open our eyes

See things from the other side

Instead we both have our own unique ways to run and hide

And it seems it doesn't matter how many tries

Or times we run this ride

Because in the end the cycle repeats

Like the same overplayed beat

Even in the moments most sweet

Something comes and leads us to defeat

I guess thats what happens when you cross certain lines

And such is the fate when dealing a with two stubborn minds

Inside im hoping it all wasn't wasted times

Instead I'll look at it as harsh lessons

And after usually escaping I guess I need to start accepting

But in the end its deep waters im treading.

And don't know which specific actions I should be regretting...
