Sit and isten to the words I say
You can scream, shout, just don't walk away
Please listen to understand, not listen to reply
No more will your children sit and watch you cry
Them first years you showed me love
For those years I thank the lord above
You thought I was rising through the ranks and rising to fame
But we only had each other to blame
The words that they say, that we're not
Heres to the memories we built and soon forgot
The love and laughter we once shared
From the two people who once cared
I hope one day we can sit again and talk
But for now we are two strangers with different paths to walk
