Redemption

Beginning the journey multiple steps behind those around,

Shackled in bitterness and despair eternally bound.

Lust fills your hidden veins and sinks its teeth into your skin,

One night of pleasure however leaves you on a dreadful spin.

Unkind words and curses flood from your lips,

When thrown back by another it hurts from head to finger tips.

A cutdown like a virus eats the weak like they have no place,

With little conscience it leaves you with a blankness on your face.

Intimacy far before your official vows,

Outdoing yourself with evil yet again slump down and take a bow.

She clearly doesn't love the same way showing you she's not the one,

You've lied down with one after another it's something that can't be undone.

Your life isn't centered on what it should be so your path is ingrained in fog,

If not careful you will become inflamed-toxic smoke filling you with smog.

Take course toward positive and good rewards will begin to open up,

You'll have capability to achieve leaps and bounds with your will being more than enough.

The road to redemption is paving it's way leaving your heart ever so soft,

The enemy is banished hence forth as your steps are directed toward your holy loft.

You attempt to repair damage you've caused those around and yourself,

Slip ups make present themselves but the old life is a place you'll never delve.

Forgiveness is difficult to crack no matter the person who tries,

Were you to simply let go either way the thorns of guilt will slowly die.

You're implored to not be a prisoner grasping onto things of past,

Free yourself from those chains through the newly found needs and your worries will never last.
