Red Leaves/Pulang Dahon
A bilingual free verse poem in English and Tagalog
In English:
These stunning autumn plants
are red like thousands
of valentine red lips and hearts.
These precious living things
made my whole day
a memorable fall one!
In Tagalog:
Ang mga nakamamanghang halaman ng taglagas na ito
ay pula tulad ng libu-libong at puso.
Ang mga mahahalagang bagay na ito
ginawa ang aking buong araw na
isang hindi malilimutang taglagas!
