Realistically Efficient

"I was open, I was honest, I gave my all, I changed my wrong, I fixed what was broken, I illuminated what was left in darkness, I gave you my time, my heart, my care, i gave you my smile. Upon accepting the fact that I didn’t stand a chance against them, overwhelmed I laid my head back, my eyes closed and I fell into a deep sleep as the very last tear escaped my eye. Memories replayed in my head I felt myself drifting farther and farther away from the dream and closer to the reality that challenged me to look beyond the horizon. Should’ve known I would find the clarity she spoke of once before. Beyond the horizon as the waves crashed against the rocks and the sand swept under the water. I found clarity, the clarity to see,hear,understand and feel what was meant for me, the clarity that kept me away from what was not meant for me and set forth the first stone that paved the path that would lead me to a place where I could freely express myself without being afraid to get hurt or laughed at. Pure poetry filled with truth and hope for future improvement."
