Rainy Days, Starry Nights

by Sherri Cummins about a month ago in nature poetry

Lighthouse Delight

Rainy days, starry nights

upon the wings of monarchs

in flight

bright spring sunshine

temperatures rise

beaches, white sand between my toes

as the wind blows

seagulls, dolphins along the coast

children play in sand dunes

as beach goers relax

thoughts of spring

zipping through

flowering plants all brand new

Pink Azealia's so bright, bubbly

spring fresh, as knockout roses

breakthrough

the soft ground from downpours

Easter lilies emerging all around

the joy of spring, good cheer

as spring draws near

flocks of birds migrating north

as the morning frosts slow down

steam rising from the ice laden cold ground

flora and fauna in sync in fields

nature's smile peeking through the clouds

like music to my ears

sight to my eyes

is spring morning sunrise

nature poetry
