Radiance at Sea

Where smiles begin

The sun reflected, embraced,

dear to all waves

looks down from above,

tells the sea

they will meet one day

today,

when sunset twilight and fiery delight

unite them once again

in rainbows of belonging

and trusted melodies

of faith

that go back centuries.

***

If you keep wondering

how a smile started,

when was the first time

that it came alive and broke free

from darkness and the gray,

know it was water, the sea

the many waves chasing the sun

and the rays meeting blue

that brought a smile to life

to stay

and make us joyful.

***

The sun’s own happiness

stays close to foam and waves,

it knows on darkest nights

it will meet turquoise in the morning

and all distress and hurt

will be taken away

by never-ending waves

that keep on treading seabed

holding wishes

from all times passed

and those that come.

***

Trust the horizon

to be the meeting place

where sun, fate, and the waves’ determination

become one

fused in golden, mellow light

that keeps smiles

tucked inside.

Reach to it and share happiness,

the smiles will come to you

like birds flying, singing along

to every tune that turns

souls to feathers

on a breeze of emotions.

***

Ever-changing as the sea, your heart,

my heart

need one place to rest,

where warmth of feeling stays,

no doubts or anger to betray

the solace in the blues and green

molded with unyielding gold.

***

Smiles reign in the one place

where joy plays with the wind,

it knows how to swim,

how to float,

it rides on waves and touches

sunbeams without fear

of melting

dreams or wishes.

***

Your love is safe here,

you can’t build walls

but the sea is a barrier.

It stops annoyance, hurt

and turns each moment in a flash

of memories and belonging.

You don’t need to look back

when you are resting

in the sunny sea embrace.

***

You are there in the past,

just as you’re standing in the now

and the will be

for the time

your smiles

float and ponder

how far you reached,

how long you should go now

before meeting at last

your love reflected

in the turquoise sun.

***

There is no up or down,

the bonding is eternal,

you can’t find corners, edges,

mountains or meadows,

this resting place simply is and gathers

all that you are and will be,

all you think and desire

to give light back to you,

and smiles

waiting to change

your destiny.
