Pulse

Old Man Covid

It was the pulse of the world

The baby, intubated in New Orleans

Struggling to breathe

The opportunistic virus running in their blood

breath in

breath out

machine work, work, work

keep the little life going

until they can breath on their own

or not

The old man in Rio

Just got his second Pfizer

Seeing friends who were also luck to get the shot

Seeing the light

at the end of the dark tunnel

The Brazil map gets light

The US gets dark

It was the pulse of the world

Her last words

"get my babies vaccinated, please"

her husband gone days before

taken by Old Man Covid

taken by lies and falsehoods

he was not a bad man

just too stubborn to see

the path to survival was simple

The beachgoers in New Zealand

enjoying a concert

enjoying life

yes, there are bumps

but a much steadier road

a much more reasonable road

a much more humane road

to return to life

It was the pulse of the world
