Prism Brain

Greener than June sprigs is his thirst for new knowledge––

the type that presents itself in freshly discovered vocab words like

concupiscence

or in documentaries watched

whose content covers the architectural forefathers of this world––

the Giza builders; the brick layers of the temples of Artemis.

His mind is a wonder, just as much.

Rainbow are his textbooks, tabs sticking out their spines

like an ascending staircase, from left to the right.

Their highlights are scribbled more enthusiastically

than an NFL anchorman would present his own.

His novels are novel. His nonfiction? Compelling.

His reflections on life’s opportunities are like a prism,

so many angles; so many colors; never one-dimensional.

Crystal suncatcher––

scatterbrained but influential on everyone he touches,

leaving disco specs on their faces, arms, torsos

with his revolving mind

and will continue to do

so long as the earth gyrates

and the morning sun shines.

About the Creator

Trinity Stilianessis

I am a firm believer that life imitates art and vice versa. The content I produce is a direct reflection of the world around me: observations through my personal lens. Planet Earth is my muse and life is so beautiful!
