Pouring Some Whisky In The Veins

a glass of bourbon, melted ice

coupled with late-night potato chips while crushing onto the teeth

sipped heat went down to the throat

a chilled feel, and gradual slower motions

fading the light away

one by one, suddenly dark

faded tunes from the YouTube

the street side musicals soothing my heart

the piano play on the station

the vocal on the side of the street

the harmonica sync with the violin melody

mixing up beats, one by one

taking me to the stairway to heaven

Ah! the glass runs empty

the ice-cubes waiting

to be soaked in bourbon waves

let me pour some

whisky in the veins.
