Covid-19

Waiting for normality again

I can’t see you,

I can’t hear you,

But i know that you’re there.

You are silent,

Yet so aggressive,

Leaving a trail of destruction everywhere.

Your existence is futile,

All you do is cause pain.

So tiny and worthless,

Yet here to remain.

In no time at all,

You’ve taken over our lives.

You’ve made yourself famous,

Through truths and lies.

Your truth is that you kill,

You know no other way.

You take the lives of many,

Day by day by day.

You will always be remembered,

Like the lives of those been lost.

Like the memories of times past,

When there was food, homes and jobs.

See you are responsible for so much,

You will never comprehend.

Because you are not really real,

Yet like a legacy you will never end.
