Poem of Questions

What is beauty?

Is it the sun’s rays that feed life?

Or is it the ability to love?

What is peace?

Is it a country without war?

Or one without hate?

What is pride?

Is it ego?

Or is it the rise to justify oneself?

What is friendship?

Is it the kinship of similar minds?

Or the acceptance of others?

What is faith?

Is it a belief in love?

Or is it the strength to spread hope?

And if I am me,

And the world is itself,

Then we are our own definition.

We are everything.
