The disappointments of being in love

At first, I was trying to save you.

Then I tried to save us both.

But then, reality sank in, and I realized we had to be willing to save ourselves.

Now, I only hope I'm not the only one trying to save myself.

It would be such a heartbreak

To learn you wouldn’t even save yourself to better love me.

As a woman, am I more man than you?

That I can do all things that strengthen me.

Yet, you continue to stay within that weakened state of mind.

Oh, honey such a pity.

We can be something more

We can be together as one.

But, it's ok.

Just love yourself a little more today.
