If I had decided to write this through thousands of words on hundreds of pages, attempting to portray every single one of my perceptions and intuitions onto something solely material, the reality is that majority of people would most likely read one paragraph into the piece before becoming too impatient to continue on. If I were to have done that, I’d be living in ignorance. Ignorant to the facts. I cannot expect to throw out all of the intelligence and intuitions I have without taking the facts into account, and believe that my words will be authentically heard. If I were to do that, it would be ironic. It would be exemplary of the problem that the piece itself will be discussing. That problem is pure ignorance. It is vital to note for the sake of the human mind, that this ignorance spoken of is never truly someone’s or something’s fault. Ignorance happens naturally throughout fear. Fear is rooted in many of the things we are familiar with; religion and politics are perfect illustrations for those familiarities. Both concepts are commonly seen and practiced; they act as a foundation for the basis of life, for some of us. All created from fear. We humans are the only species known to be capable of hyper-awareness of our own existence. If one were to know anything about the human mind, it should be that our species is generally incapable of accepting the unknown, especially relating to our very existence itself. We must create something, anything, that “gives life meaning”, since we do not have a materialistic explanation-something that all of us would be familiar with and could agree upon. That is where the concepts of religion, politics, and other ideas come into play. It feels imperative for us to fabricate various theories and notions such as said religion and politics, because otherwise we are left in the dark realm of only the unknown, which we have not been able handle. There are copious examples throughout the beginning of time up until the present which support that. I will not be going through them all. However, I am undoubtedly sure that if you are curious and thirsty for more information, there is most definitely an internet search engine out there that is full of them. To begin to connect the dots throughout everything I have said here, it makes sense to say that if we are consistently succumbing to our fear, we are simultaneously exercising ignorance. Fear can equal avoidance. Avoidance will be accompanied by suppression. Avoidance and suppression will equal ignorance. Therefore, fear will always be on one side of the equation and ignorance, (or acceptance) will be on the opposite side, depending on the math in between. Acceptance of fear is the goal, as it will result in a leap in the magnitude of one’s strength and depth. These are simple facts that apply from the broadest end of the spectrum, like the “meaning of life”, all the way down to the most specific ends of the spectrum, like an individual’s relationship with personal trauma, and how it affects their ability to exist. Both fear and ignorance need to be recognized and honored, that is the only way that we can get to our objective-acceptance.

I have found a way to bypass ignorance for this piece as much as possible. The methodology behind it is honoring that the mind only has a certain threshold for the endurance of our attention, and remembering to take advantage of another beautiful asset of the human mind- creativity! My experience with this method has resulted in a poem. It is directly below. Take a second to read it over.

“As it stands of our current time in existence

We as Earth’s children lack the presence of a universal role model-

Left free to design each and everyone of their own paths

And to form what we know as a “society”

This lack of presence leads to chaos

Whether that chaos is loud and obvious

Or quiet and reserved

One of the unfortunate qualities of the human mind

is that it virtually cannot accept the unknown

It will do whatever it can to find an explanation

Or evidence

Anything that can possibly explain the unknown

And justify it

Our “society”

is chaotic, unbalanced, lost, and ill

Ridden with closed-mindedness

Feverish with pressure

And competition-

The negativity and lack of acceptance

Gnaws away at our flesh

It infiltrates the blood of the body

It wishes to be the rough equivalent of

the most basic or most acidic solution known to man

Although it doesn’t have to wish-

It is already even more potent than both

We thrive on dependence of this liquid and the source of it

That we think brings meaning to our lives

And “uniqueness” to us creatures

the mouth of it is lined with venom

A poison that even after we are left empty-

Dissolves our very being

A role model of the universe

is a necessity for a successful world

something to pacify the infant

That lies within the human mind and heart

It may not even necessarily be a life form -

But perhaps simply an object

which is ironic

since the truth we desire is not anything near materialistic

yet what we could all look up to is materialistic

But how can one blame us when we reside in what most classify as a solely “materialistic world”

ironic, but sensical.

There are no accidents.

There are no coincidences.

The only plausible method of universal communication to that of our world

Is to find something materialistic to communicate through

As that is the only thing that we as a whole can see or hear

Since materialistic things are familiar to every one of us

in our existence on planet Earth

The object should we strive to resemble

is a piano.

It has white keys

And it has black keys

To play only the white keys sounds pretty,

But not full

To play only the black keys sounds mystical,

But not whole

Omitting the use of both sharps and flats

Leaves a sound,

But a sound with no depth

Playing too quietly will make the vibrations hard to feel for those who cannot physically hear

and for those who can, it will be drowned out by the noise of the rest of the world so that either they cannot hear

or choose not to listen

Playing too loudly with overwhelm the deaf, making it a similar feeling

to that of experiencing an earthquake

it would hurt the ears of those that can physically hear

And drown out the individuality of the notes,

the tempo, and the key of what’s playing

To play them all with awareness and synchronicity

will create-

Wholesomeness

Depth

Harmony

And a true song would be composed.

This world does not have a song

Only random notes being pushed

No rhythm

No timing

No sequence.

When this place learns its song

That will be the day we have achieved-

The harmonic peace we have been

So desperately searching for.”
