The passage of time

your present moment is now past

the future cycles in

ever moving, hands of time

a clock we live within

your past was once the present, too

and the future, from way back

minutes weave so seamlessly-

that memory can’t track

the very moment life begins,

you hear the seconds tick

but older ears, they drown the sound

victims of time's trick

the days are long, but

years are short

we're made through what we've seen

till one day you find a mirror,

and ask

"where have I been?"

So lyrical. Love the way it flows.
