Parasite

You’ve got to burn it down my love

It fights for survival

Like your own flesh

So fat with your soul

It tells you

You are the parasite

You have to burn it all

You will survive

It will not

Rude

It’s rude

To build yourself too much

It’s rude

To look at others work

And say

Not good enough

For me

It’s rude to demand

Better

But it’s worth it

Statistically

Statistically

They’re right

You will fail

Nearly all do

What makes you think

You could pay

Pareto’s Price

They do not know

A soul like yours

Would rather die

With melted wings

Than swim

In numbers

You wouldn’t breathe

You would be dead

All the same
