Overwhelmed

Overwhelmed and overfilled

Touched with love

It still amazes me;

Wondering wow,

I was blinded by the lies

I didn’t realize

I was appreciated

I was loved

But these mind games can be crazy

Making me feel like friends are enemies

Destructive patterns that can leave me lonely

It’s frightening,

But in reality

That is what’s going on inside me!

Will I be accepted?

Will I be judged?

Will people understand how it’s rough?

And you know what?

All of the preconceptions were wrong

I am accepted

I am loved

Things might come hard

But people respect the work I’ve done

I have nothing to be ashamed

I have nothing to be sad about

I have made it through a bout

Not alone, either;

There’s been friends through this drought
