outside her window

life moves on

The wind blew softly outside her window, as the trees seemed to wail bleakly. Birds chattered in the distance, and insects flew around mindlessly. Everything seemed to be in motion, dried leaves rustling to land on the soft grass. The bright sun created shadows that seemed to dance in the glistening light. It all slowed down for a second, the wind coming to a halt, the birds landing without a sound, the shadows motionless, the leaves still. All was still, until the wind picked up again, and the birds continued chattering, and the shadows continued to dance.

a short vignette. thank you for reading <3
