Our Love in Bloom

Happy 2nd Anniversary, Darling

When we started we had nothing.

Not a penny to our names.

But now we can get by

Because we don’t play the games.

You don’t try to tear me down

And I don’t try to hurt you.

We just watch the skies above,

And dream of what we’ll work to.

To hear you laugh brings utmost joy

And your kiss, it makes me tingle.

Your presence feels like warm sunshine

I could never feel while single.

Three years alone until we met

And when we did, we made a set.

Laying next to you right now,

The season’s labor on your brow,

From healing trauma, you allow

A greater self to grow.

That sight, it shows a sacred thing.

You faced your pain and everything!

You’ve come so far

And helped me too.

I wouldn’t be here

if not for you.

In just two years

We’ve helped each other

We’ve Healed our pain.

We’ve Grown, discovered.

No greater sight

Here in this room

Than what we’ve made,

Our love in bloom.

About the Creator

Arthur Armstrong

A being of duality, poetic irreverence, and maddening nonsense.
