Orion Lonely Hunter
Poem
Orion lonely hunter in the sky,
I've seen you striding through the twinkling stars so high,
When winter’s storms below have just begun,
To make the snowy night time travels under moonlight like the sun.
Done
Unclasp your belt and let it fall to earth,
The springtime season comes around renewed in birth,
And all through summer in our northern clime,
I wait impatiently as winter's path you tread to see the time,
Climb
When your familiar form again returns,
To give our seasons yet another yearly turn,
Upon perpetual hunt your footsteps tread,
And rise to hunt as I again retire tired to my bed.
Led
Orion lonely hunter in the sky,
I see you striding through the stars and wonder why,
Mankind can never purge its awful guilt,
And leave behind a gardened world of life entirely rebuilt.

Thank you for reading my words! I don’t often write with a rhyme scheme and perhaps this one is a little strange with syllables 10/12/10/16/1 and rhymes AABBB.
My favorite constellation is Orion. I do wait for him to appear from his southern travels every year. At the equator he can be seen all year round. Maybe I will need to move closer to him someday.
If you would like to try another rhyming work, I have this one:
