Only Human

March 2nd, 2010

Looking down the road

Everything isn’t evident

Yet something is certain

The aspect of death

Now where do you

Want to be tomorrow?

The next day, next week?

How about a year from now?

I’m not certain

But I feel a pull.

I’m advised against it,

But I still have desire.

That wonderfully despicable

Desire; always getting

In the way. How can

I win this war?

Maybe you feel

It too. Or not.

Maybe I’m all

Alone. Or not.

It’s time to go.

Make a choice. The

Decision isn’t easy

But it’s necessary.

Futures will change,

Pasts will be erased, presents

More pleasurable.

But where will I be years from now?

Death is the most certain

Aspect, yet it can seem

Inaccurate. But then again,

We’re only human.
