For every wave that’s crushing on the shore

For every drop of rain that falls from grace

For every sigh that reaches to the sky

I love you more

Because you love me less

The more things change, the more they stay the same

The sands of time, the twinkling morning star

A saving lie and many reasons why

No one to blame

That’s just the way things are

It’s hard to know and harder yet to guess

The way what if becoming neither nor

No need to pry and much too late to cry

I love you less

Because you love me more

love poems
