Old Man
Embracing different styles, whispers of meaning
He walked out
of the scarred homestead,
.
where the wounded night
sobbed away
it’s tears.
.
The moon,
drunk in her sadness,
scattered it’s beams
amongst shadows
.
nesled softly
beneath gnarled trees.
.
Trees that stretched
to touch the divinity
of heaven.
.
Starstruck stardust
lingered around
.
the man who now
remembered how to love.
.
The mysterious broken man
was not so young,
naive, as he was.
.
A part of what he was,
became the dusk.
.
A part of what was next,
came from dawn.
.
His bride, waited for him,
just beyond the meadow.
.
She waited,
for the salted gentleman,
To embrace tomorrow.
