A Cautionary Tale

Some fear zombie apocalypse.

Others a nuclear war.

Yet from a dimension beyond,

there are legions of horror.

Awaiting the breaking down of the door.

I'll spare you the graphics of carnage from fear,

For the millions left after the repentants disappear.

How did this tale arise and come about?

It was a violation of human rights.

In addition to horror films during the teenage years.

A fear that needed to be overcome,

but not by others' stigmatization and sneers.

How did right and wrong become blurred?

When did bland tolerance make it unclear?

And mockery manifest because of others' tears?

To this end, I will come,

because I veer too far towards revenge.

Man will forever search and be in competition

with that which he does not know and understand

Whether in the sky, himself, or oceans deep.
