OBSERVER
What do you see?
Lights, people
Civilization or maybe home
Ah, you nighttime of course
What do you feel?
Safe, insecure
Hoodlums, derelicts?
Ah you feel your tribe
Yet there is a line
An intersection of day and night
An gray area of in between
Where the lone observer
Wafts in the dual zone
Having a cognac with Death
Vintage champagne with Life
The Observer sees and feels
The dual nature of night and day
Of day and night
Life and Death,
Opposite sides of the same coin
The real world is not seen with our eyes
The real world is not heard with your ears
Nor smelled with you nose
You fingers feel what your reality tells you
Yet to see reality
You must breathe it with your soul
Embrace the beauty
Embrace the ugly
Embrace those faint echoes
Calling your soul to long lost memories
Open your self
Dare to be scarred
Brave rejection
The Observer longs for this image
A community of acceptance
A place to belong
A loner, a wolf banished from the pack
The Observer will stay true
Sharing drinks with Life & Death
Until more embrace the truth
