Nocturne
When your voice
gets rough with
sleep, I like it most.
As if we are the last
two people awake at
the end of the world.
In the quiet, our lives
slow down until we
both fall drowsy with
dreams. Each breath
becomes it's own
language then,
heartbeats saying
I'm here, I'm here,
I'm here.
