Nobles Oblige

Seek the alternatives to despair.

Sovereign born -

A biologic collision that divided cells and inserted spirit into, what we call, the human condition.

A mission -

Some part of which must have been voluntary although the war

(between social and solitary),

Questions the wisdom of that decision,

That soul deep-dive into our earth-bound inventions

(The machines we live in, set with muscle and hairs that assess and respond to primal affairs) -

A Triumph In Design!

Yet, seperate bodies beget seperate minds,

Create a gap between being known fully and saying,

"I'm fine..."

Spurring the urge to

Leap into another's skull!

Companion at the healm -

Steering through murky depths and undiscovered realms...

Yes!

To travel as companions

(With Change and Death our guarantees),

But still dashing with abandon

Toward soaring heights,

Toward sweeping breadths,

Toward deserts, mountains, forests, seas...

And yes!

Into the pits and caverns where shadows hunt those unawares,

Secure within our own connection, we crawl upward to the glare

Of brilliant light and open air,

Helping others make it there -

Seek the alternatives to despair.
