There's no guidebook to tell us when we're right,
no way to know the future.
Without blame,
there is no right or wrong answer, no way to know
if we're doing it right.
*
To see the future, we can only guess where things will lead,
guess which path they'll follow.
Without blame,
there is only one path and no way to know
if we're doing it right.
*
To see the future, we can only guess what will happen next,
guess how it might unfold.
Without blame,
it could go a hundred different ways and there's no way to know
if we're doing it right.
*
To see the future, we can only guess what's around the corner,
guess how much further we have to go.
Without blame,
there's no reason to look ahead and there's no way to know
if we're doing it right.
