Nature Speaks

Sea shells

Sand breeze

Blue skies

Robust ease

Tall pine trees

Sit down

Or walk with me

Look around

What do you see?

Land river

Gentle feather quiver

Trickle, ever simmer

Deliver

Effervescent bringer--

Come correct,

Bell-ringer

Drumb, bum

Dead center

A no-interest lender

What contender?

Are you lost?

In descend or

In the middle

I see you.

But let’s consider

When were you last

Outside?

How many times

Did pain

Push aside

Dismiss

Shield the light

Before your very eyes?

Confused

You hide.

Compromise

Delight

All the while

Mother Nature

Smiles

A loving sunrise

And each night

The Sun

Paints the sky

A starry, Sun-sent

Decline.

You decide.

Tonight.

Say your goodbyes

To what keeps you

Behind.

Look up

And climb.

Humble child.

Succumb,

Feel the heartbeat of the Tide,

Push and guide,

Mother Oceans

Respite.

Crash, roar

Waves upon the shore

Adrift,

Salty mist,

A cleansing gift

Seeks

To give you

A kiss.

Ever stop

And listen?

Slowly beneath

Your feet

The sea

Washed your toes clean

No need

Constantly

Kneed

Grind

Fix

Tweak

r e l a x

Breathe.

Ask the trees

How they keep,

Greet

Cycling

Every season

Without braking

Still manage

To grow taller

Yes, stronger

Through

Weathered water.
