Nature's Anger

A poem of climate change and despair for the future

Nature's Anger

Plants breathe

And when passes a warm breeze

know that nature is at peace.

But when comes a storm

Anger is found

In the heavy sway,

The swinging of branches,

The shaking of leaves.

The winds often soft spoken

Will scream with violence at the world

that has become so broken.

The seas will rise to let you know

They're not to be looked down upon.

For where would the green live

with all the land gone.

The Earth made of water

And plastic being all that's left

It's witness will have taken its last breath.

With an air of something

That could've been but never was

It seems like small things won't change reality,

But for the hope it does.

Chemicals form the good, the bad

Through formulas of greed

And a prevailing love of policy

That creates death on mass.

Recreating once extinct seeds

To repair done damage

Through the same which caused

The previous disaster's to succeed in parish.

Forgetting life is not just present

That what we are and represent

Could be a future so cool, so unique,

Only to be ruined by disbelief

Daily joy overtaking future peace.

Working daily

Waiting for breath to cease

And everything so dismal.

Life ahead is push and pull

What does it mean to live,

What does it mean to survive?

Fire's made for lands

Which are nothing but superficial

To kill its inhabitants

Then give it back for toll

Territory, Resources and self satisfaction

Were things of the past,

But in present they still hunger

And never will they be full.

Plants breathe

And when passes a warm breeze

know that nature is at peace.

But now they storm

And their anger is found

In the heavy sway,

The swinging of branches,

The shaking of leaves.
