Eons ago in the world we call home

Long before you and me.

When true giants would roam.

From the plains to the glittering sea.

They fought for survival every day.

Some would lose and some would win.

In the strength of the herds,

No one would dare to stray.

With danger in the air, though not from our birds.

To the dangers in the sea, with a waiting fin.

These creatures had all kinds of skills.

Some used their brute strength.

Quick enough to run up the steepest hills.

Some even had necks of massive length.

The world was full of strange things.

We always discover a new mystery.

As we hear the wonder their story brings.

They will remind us of Earth’s history.
