cause everything i do is done in excess

so now i’m writing about you, again.

i don’t read philosophy but i do for you

and you don’t read poetry

but would you for me?

loving you is the most productive thing i do

you’re sane and healthy

nothing you do is done to hurt me

and i hope that’s not speaking too soon

cause you have made me lonely

but in fashion that is unlike me, i forgive you

before i think i’ve even made the choice to

a beautiful philosophy

to have already been forgiven in the name of keeping peace

so casually cruel

to want to “get even”
