Well, my dear Mother,

My books you bought me

are still stowed away.

******

Just like your memory

I think about them too

all tucked safely in a box.

******

Cold and sleeping

in a tomb

waiting resurrection.

******

Those you had read

will be the first ones

I will visit.

******

Its the only way

I have you close

again for a short time.

******

I miss them

near me sitting on a shelf

giving me warmth and a smile.

******

The love with in them

the adventures contained there-in

was you gift to me.

*****

Some day, Mom

I will see them again

and will feel you again.

******

I will steep

some tea.

Find you a warm blanket

for us to share.

******

Forever, Always

will I have you

Close in my mind.

*****

With each page

I turn

I will still share

those words with you.

******

Thank you

mom

for making sure I have you.
