My Dream
Like most people, I have dreams for the future.
Like most people, I have dreams for the future.
But there’s one dream I have that’s different than the others.
This dream expands so wide,
that it has become nation wide.
This dream is not just for me.
It’s for everyone living in this world with me.
My dream is more than just a dream.
It’s a wish, even a prayer it may seem.
This dream is that one day there will be peace, freedom, equality, and justice everywhere.
I have a dream that one day we, the minorities, can walk out of our homes without the fear of being discriminated.
I have a dream that one day rapists will finally learn that the words “no” and “stop” ACTUALLY MEAN “no” and “stop”.
I pray that there will be no more innocent people dying just because they were at the wrong place at the wrong time.
I pray that there will be no more discrimination in this world, so that equality can finally make room for itself.
I pray that finally the glory will come, and that this dream will come true.
For this is my dream, my prayer, my wish that I have said to you.
(Singing): “One day when the glory comes
It will be ours, it will be ours
Oh one day when the war is one
We will be sure, we will be sure.
Oh glory. Oh glory”
I hope this dream has spread to you.
But like I said, it’s more that just a dream.
It’s a wish, even a prayer it may seem.
And I pray that one day, it will come true.
