For there are times where our hearts ache with despair and longing.

The very thing that keeps us alive feels as though it’s shattering into a million unseen particles.

It’s possible that this unforeseen pain evolved from a single instant or person.

Better yet, a multitude of instances and several people.

For there are times where we prolong something that has been slowly disintegrating over time.

At times we force our eyes to see what we want when our hearts are simply telling us,

“It’s over.”

It hurts. It’s not easy. It is in fact over.

For there are times where it feels as though the universe has engulfed you, and you must stand alone in it all.

All of the suffering. All of the “used to be’s.” All of the “has been’s.”

Because it does in fact feel as though you are the only human being that could possibly face such blasphemy.

To the person whose heart aches with despair and longing.

You are not alone.

To the person who has realized that it is over,

You are not alone.

And to the person with all of the baggage,

You are not alone.

There are approximately 7.7 billion people that tread this Earth each and every day.

People of backgrounds that differ from yours.

People who have experienced a plethora of different circumstances

Yet these people have embodied emotions that are similar to your very own.

As humans we tend to ignore those in passing.
