I met a man

Locked up when he was only fifteen

For the next 16 years

He only knew the Pen

He worked hard when they let him go

Day and night just trying to cope

In a "Just" system unknown

Never prepared for society's blow

Institution rules applied no more

For months he tried he didn't give up

Doing more than the average does

But eventually society won

He took a life and now

Life without parole

This man worked hard to get the job done

But now he becomes

Another of society's lost souls

About the Creator

Raymond 'Rafiki' Westmoreland

I write songs and poetry. I try to see things in a different light from the "Enemies" perspective. I feel that understanding a person's story makes the world a better place.
