Moon Warrior
Aesthetic poem for a friend
A warrior who continues to see the good in everything
He has fought many battles, and each one
makes him come back stronger
wiser
kinder
His honey eyes tell stories that only the pure of heart can read
His heart opens only for those that have the keys
Special keys,
forged in the place between love and loss,
joy and sorrow,
life and death
He never falters in seeing that there is a light within the darkness,
knowing that neither can truly exist without the presence of the other
He lives by the sun and loves by moonlight,
fiercely,
and without judgment
He is one with the life that exists just for him
and his world is a beautiful kingdom of night,
illuminated by stars and moonlight
and built from the finest stone, marble, mortar, and brick
