Mommy Love

"She'll be a vegetable," the doctors sadly proclaimed when I was a toddler…

But the Creator had other plans for my momma…

For she was a Supernova 🌟 & a Survivor 💪🏾from the start & is fun & special in so many ways...

Here are just a few:

She is fashion- 👸💄forward

Head swaddled in green silk. A flower bud elegantly sprouting from one side showcasing a charismatic headpiece that would make Queen Elizabeth step aside and curtsy…

She is stylish 👗💅🏾

Her bright, eccentric, feminine fashions regally & effortlessly drape across her petite frame like sophisticated advertisements for a lookbook for one of America's Next Top Models...

She is pleasant 💖

Her almond-shaped, grey-rimmed, brown, Doe-eyes instantaneously radiate kindness to those in need like a supportive lighthouse expertly guides each mariner to safety...

She is sweet 🍭

Her raspy, syrupy-sweet voice is always ready with a compliment for anyone new that she meets...

She is soulful 🦅

Music is her language of choice to lift her spirits and those around her after a long day. Michael Jackson and Prince being two of her favorite dialects...

She is Calming 🌊

With an aura so simultaneously calming & welcoming that it makes you want to climb into her bosom and fall asleep until your troubles pass you by...

She is vivacious 💃🏽

With the leading of her gorgeous, colt-like, rockette-ready legs, she is always prepared to perform her signature Iron Horse move on any dance floor around town...

She is Caring 🎯

Her comforting words feel to my soul like sugar added to too-bitter lemonade; perfect & pleasing...

Father, thank you for blessing me tremendously in the Mommy department.

You have taught me so much through her beautiful life; most importantly that the most beautiful rainbows come after the biggest storms! 🙏🏾🌈
