Mirror, mirror
the evening before the morning after
Mirror, mirror on the wall
All afog with alcohol,
Vodka fumes and smell of beer,
Just like fate, you are unclear.
Even grimy with neglect,
Shapes and shadows you reflect.
With my hand I wipe the glass;
Why are there two of us?
Mirror, mirror, shining bright
In the middle of the night -
In this little clear hole
Have you shown me my soul?
Which is me - and which is it?
When and why have we been split?
One is crying, one is not,
I have never cried a lot...
Looking sternly in the eye,
It is waiving me good-bye.
You're the fairest of them all,
Mirror, mirror on the wall.

This was so emotional and deep!
A vivid, evocative, and moving piece 💕🙂
Truth is in the mirror--sadly whether we like it or not... Eyes are the mirror of the soul, a mirror reflects the reality of the outside.
